1.) All orders received by 2pm EST will ship the same day (Mon-Fri). All orders received after 2pm EST will ship the next business day.
2.) How do you calculate the cost of shipping and Handling?
Unlike other online model train dealears who charge you the higher published FedEx and USPS rates, we only charge you our cheaper negotiated rates from our shippers and pass the savings on to you.
FedEx and USPS shipping rates take into account many factors such a point of origin, destination, weight, date of shipment, size and urgency. You can determine what shipping will cost without going throught the online checkout process, and before finalizing your sale. Shipping prices and options are clearly stated in your shopping cart before checking out and entering any payment info. If you decide that you no longer want the order, you can just empty your shopping cart. Shipping is automatically calculated for all shipments. We use our negotiated cheaper rates from FedEx and USPS to determine the exact shipping cost.
3.) Extra Shipping Charges/Shipping Method Changes
Extra shipping charges may apply in some circumstances. If so, we will contact you for approval before billing any additional amounts.
However, there are also times when the method of shipping may be changed at the discretion of ModelTrainsQuick.com, due to, but not limited to, actual cost of shipping, size of item(s) / order(s), ship to location, etc.
4.) Import Duty, GST/VAT Charges
Our prices do NOT include Import Duty and/or GST/VAT for shipments outside of the USA. You may need to pay these charges at the time of delivery to your “Ship To” address. You can contact your local Customs Office to determine what these rates may be.
Do not ask us to misrepresent package contents or values on customs declaration forms. We are required by law to report accurate valuation of products on the shipping paperwork.

We ship daily by USPS, Monday through Friday.

7.) Taxes, Insurance, and other shipping information.
California residents will be charged 8 ¾% sales tax.
All shipments will be insured at actual cost.
Oversized packages and oddly shaped packages may incur additional fees. If this is the case with your order, you will be notified before shipping your package.
ModelTrainsQuick.com reserves the right to decline shipping packages to any country or region for any reason at our sole discretion.
If you require a signature at the time of delivery (FedEx shipments only), please include a note in the “Order Notes” section when placing your order stating, “Signature Required”. There are times, which are at the FedEx Driver’s discretion, when you may be required to sign for your package.
If your country is not in our list of counties we ship to, please contact us to request having your country added to our list.
8.) Can you combine, add items to, or hold my order(s)?
We are not able to combine or hold orders. Subsequently, we are not able to make additions, deletions or modifications to orders. Prior to finalizing your order, review your shopping cart to assure you have ordered the correct scale, quantity, items, etc.
9.) Can you ship aerosols or other flammable product overseas?
We are not permitted to ship any aerosols or flammable products overseas due to USPS and FedEx shipping regulations. If you order these products to be shipped overseas, they will be removed from you order and you will be credited back.
10.) How do I track my package?
When your order ships, you will be emailed a shipping confirmation with tracking info. You can also check your My Account page, all tracking info and order information is displayed there.
